Christmas may be over but now it’s time to look forward to the new year and Super Bowl parties! I admit, while I enjoy the commercials and half-time show more than the game, I have a lot of fun preparing snacks and chatting with friends during these get togethers. This year, during the holidays, my dishwasher broke, causing a kink in my plans. The new dishwasher won’t be delivered until January 7th so any football or New Year’s Eve parties I plan involve simple snacks with minimal preparation time and not much clean up. Thanks to the new Nestle’s Toll House Delightfull’s, who are sponsoring today’s recipe, I was able to put together a three ingredient version of one of my family’s favorite snacks, Moose Munch.
Here’s what you need to make it:
I used two bags of microwave popcorn, three cups rice cereal and two bags of Nestle Toll House Delightfuls. While there are four flavors, the kids asked to try the milk chocolate morsels with Caramel filling and the Milk Chocolate Morsels with peanut butter filling. I used one bag of each. Here’s a helpful hint: Pick out all of the unpopped kernels from the popcorn before mixing all the ingredients together. Your teeth will thank you. Melt the Delightfulls in a microwave safe bowl for one minute, Stir, and microwave 30 seconds to 1 minute more or until melted. Mix the cereal and popcorn together in a large bowl and then stir in the chocolate. Spread it out across a piece of waxed paper and freeze for 10 minutes or until firm.
When the Moose Munch is firm, break it into pieces and serve. No one has to know you didn’t spend hours in the kitchen or dirty up a lot of dishes.
Nestle Toll House filled morsels are also available in Dark Chocolate with Mint filling and Dark chocolate with Cherry filling. You can find all sorts of delicious recipes to serve to your family and friends on the Nestle Toll House Delightfulls recipe page.
