Lunch at our home is “free for all.” In other words, if you can find it in the cabinet, fridge or freezer and it looks like lunch food, it’s fair game. I try to keep a supply of ingredients to make sandwiches on hand at all times, alone with chips, veggies and other goodies. This way lunches can be made in minutes. My kids still prefer I prepare their sandwiches, saying if I make them, it is “made with love.” I think this is an excuse to get me to prepare their food, but it usually works. Today Lunchbox is sponsoring this post to let you know about one of our favorite sandwiches and our new secret ingredient, Hellmann’s. Sometimes we try to get more creative with our sandwiches, especially if I pick up a loaf of Ciabatta from the store. That’s when we make Ciabatta BLT Club sandwiches.
We start by splitting the Ciabatta loaf in half and toasting it. After we have toasted the bread, we pile one side high with toppings; Bacon, lettuce tomato, and some extras, like turkey slices, ham and provolone cheese. Then, we added some of the new Hellman’s Mayonnaise with new squeeze technology. There’s less mess because of the clean lock cap and more control with the angled precision tip. All in all, it means less waste, which is always a plus for me.
Since I am always asked to make the food “with love,” I decided to write a message on one of the buns. How funny is that? Now they can’t say this sandwich wasn’t made with love. Want to share some love with your family? Visit the Hellmann’s Best Foods at Walmart site to create a fun note in mayo and add a touch of richness to someone’s day.
- 1 (12 ounce) loaf of Ciabatta, split and toasted
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and drained
- 3 slices each; turkey and ham lunchmeat
- 4 slices Provolone Cheese
- 1 cup Shredded lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- Hellmann’s mayonnaise to taste
- Place bacon, turkey, cheese and ham on one side of the Ciabatta. Top with lettuce and tomato. Spread mayonnaise on the other slice of Ciabatta. Place sandwich together. Cut in half. Serves 2.

I love using Ciabatta to make sandwiches. I just love their texture and bite. Although I don’t eat bacon, I wouldn’t mind making this sandwich with only lettuce and tomatoes.
My kids love sandwiches so we always have a jar of Hellmann’s in our refrigerator. It sure does makes sandwiches taste a lot better.
