We’ve been in the baby shower mode lately as I’ve tried to plan treats and goodies. When I asked what everyone wanted to drink, the response was “Baby Shower Punch!” This is a recipe I’ve used for years, changing it up for different holidays, like this slime punch for Halloween. The Pink Baby Shower Punch recipe has several variations you can use to suit your taste. The punch is also gluten free so it can be enjoyed by Celiacs.
You’ll need raspberry sherbet, lemon-lime soda and pineapple juice. To prepare the punch: pour the lemon-lime soda and pineapple juice into a large punch bowl. Stir until blended. Slowly add the raspberry sherbet and stir. It should blend well and have a nice pink frothy texture on top of the punch.
Want to mix up the flavors? Substitute white grape juice for the pineapple juice and ginger ale for the lemon lime soda. I’ve also had friends who substituted cranberry juice for the pineapple juice, but beware, that version is tart. Helpful hint: Chill the pineapple juice and lemon-lime soda. It helps leave the frothy texture on the top of the sherbet. Warm liquids can cause it to melt quickly and separate, in my experience.
Once the punch is blended, serve immediately or keep in the fridge until ready to serve.
- 1 quart raspberry sherbet
- 1 can (32 ounces) pineapple juice
- 1 2 liter bottle lemon-lime soda, like Sprite
- Variations:
- You can substitute 32 ounces of white grape juice for the pineapple juice or substitute 1 2 liter bottle of ginger ale for the lemon lime soda.
- Mix the pineapple juice and lemon lime soda in a large punch bowl. Add the sherbet to the lemon-lime/pineapple juice mixture and stir until blended. Store in the fridge until ready to serve or serve immediately.

It’s always fun to have a cool, frothy punch for a celebration. I like the different takes on the recipe, since there’s at least one festive event every month, it seems. This sounds like a great treat for St Patrick’s Day, using lime sherbet for the green theme.
None of our baby showers were ever complete without a take on this delicious punch! My sister recently had a baby boy and I used blue Hawaiian Punch to fit with the color of her theme.
That sounds yummy! Great for showers and other gatherings too! I bet it would be a hit and go fast!
What a fun treat for a shower. Babies are so sweet, so you’ve got to have a menu that represents that. I love that you could easily alter this to match any theme.
What a cute idea. My sister in law just had a baby last week (Lucy), but she is planning on having more so I will keep this in mind for her next one 🙂
What a great idea. I will make this punch for my friends baby shower I am helping with.
