3 Flavor Sour Cream Pound Cake Recipe

There’s something about summer that makes me crave a homemade pound cake. We usually serve this pound cake with homemade ice cream for the 4th of July. I found the original recipe in a Southern Living Magazine.

Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
3 eggs
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon each, salt and baking soda
8 ounces sour cream
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon each vanilla flavoring, lemon flavoring and almond flavoring
Whipped Cream for topping, optional

Directions:
Mix softened butter until creamy. Mix the flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda together in a bowl. Slowly alternative adding the flour mixture and the eggs into the butter mixture, mixing well after each  addition.

Add flavorings and mix well. Pour mixture into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 25 minutes at 350 or until done.

Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
