Easy Peanut Butter Pie Recipe

March 14th was Pie Day (3/14). My daughter asked for a pie and I had been craving Peanut Butter. The solution? Peanut Butter Pie. I’ve had this recipe for years and receive rave reviews whenever I make it. No one has to know how simple it is! It makes two pies, but be warned, they won’t last long!

Ingredients:

  • One package of pie shells
  • one 6 ounce package of Vanilla (or your favorite flavor) Cook and Serve pudding–do not use instant, it won’t work
  • one cup peanut butter
  • one cup confectioners sugar
  • whipped topping, if desired

Directions:
Poke both pie shells with a fork and bake in a 350 degree oven until done. Set aside. Mix confectioner’s sugar and peanut butter into a bowl until it forms well mixed crumbs.

Pour crumbs equally into two pie crusts. Make pudding as directed on package and pour over the crumbs.

Place in the freezer for one and a half hours or until set. Top with whipped cream. Store in the fridge.
