Copycat Wendy’s Frosty Recipe

Have I mentioned how much our family enjoys ice cream on a sweltering day? As the humidity rises, so does our need for a cool creamy treat. One of the four-year-old’s favorite treats is a chocolate junior Wendy’s Frosty. Once upon a time-before Covid-19- this was not a problem. We could swing by Wendy’s for an occasional treat when running errands, grab her frosty, and go. Since we’ve been grounded, that’s a thing of the past. One day, while browsing online, I found a Copycat Wendy’s Frosty Recipe. We tried it and it tastes just as good as the Wendy’s version!

Copycat Wendy’s Frosty Recipe

I’m a huge fan of recipes that require little effort and use a few common ingredients. I think if it tastes good and people enjoy it, they don’t need to know I only spent a few minutes preparing it. This recipe uses only 3 ingredients and comes together in less than 10 minutes. And that’s including gathering the supplies! It’s also naturally gluten-free so you can serve it to your celiac friends.

All you need is a can of sweetened condensed milk, a carton of frozen whipped topping, and chocolate milk. Seriously. How simple is that?

Recipe Tips:

*This recipe makes a lot of Frosty’s. You can half it if you like.
*If you prepare a full recipe, you will probably have to make it in two batches as it won’t all fit into the blender at once.
*One of my viewers writes that they prepare this recipe in their ice cream freezer and it is delicious.
*If left in the freezer several hours, this will freeze solid. It can be placed in the refrigerator for an hour or so to thaw to frosty stage

Watch the Video:

We enjoyed our Wendy’s Copycat Frosty’s so much that we made a video showing how to prepare them. We plan on making more easy dessert videos this summer, so stay tuned. Since we have rarely made videos in the past-and a family member “volunteered” (read as was coerced) to help-we did receive a complaint about the audio quality. We’ll be using that person to help with our next video to see if the audio quality is better. That will teach my son not to complain about the videos.
