Easy Easter Bunny Jar Craft

I am not sure if anyone else has what I call the “pinterest planning syndrome.” When I’m in a crafty mood, I turn to pinterest for inspiration. I have a general idea in mind and think, “Hey, I will spend ten minutes researching to see if there is anything remotely like my idea.” I look up from my computer and discover an hour has passed and I have a long list of ideas I’ve pinned. The time I’ve allotted to crafting has come and gone, leaving me with only minutes left. That’s why I favor simple crafts with minimal materials; I can have them ready and still feel like I accomplished something in a short time.  And can I help it if I want my crafts to cost less so I can make more of them? I saw a version of this cute little Easter Bunny Jar craft and rushed out to Dollar Tree to pick up supplies.
How to make an Easter Bunny Centerpiece

Here are the supplies you will need to make your own:
Supplies

  • One clear glass jar. You can use a Mason Jar, a container jar with lid or whatever you prefer. Just make sure it is large enough to hold the bunny.
One chocolate (or white chocolate) bunny. Again, choose any size bunny you want as long as it fits into the jar.
One four pack (or at least 30) small bubble gum eggs. You could also use pastel Jelly beans or candies.
A handful of Easter grass or shredded paper in color of your choice.
Enough ribbon to  wrap around the jar (I used a piece that was eight inches long so I could have some overlap and be able to tie the ribbon.)
1 small bunny figurine. I used one of the paint your own in the Holiday Section at Dollar Tree.

Begin by placing the Easter grass in the bottom of the jar. Scatter the bubble gum eggs evenly over the grass. Place the bunny in the center of the jar. I used the eggs surrounding him to keep him standing up.

Close the lid and tie the ribbon around the top. Glue the bunny onto the lid. A drop of craft glue will keep it in place until you are ready to remove it.

I loved the way it turned out and the total cost was $4.00. They are perfect for using as decor and then giving to the kids on Easter.

Do you have an easy Easter craft you make each year?

This is a partnered post with Dollar Tree. All opinions are my own.
