Easy Sweet and Salty Chocolate Bark Recipe
Ingredients:
You’ll need
chocolate melts or bark (you can use white chocolate, milk chocolate or dark chocolate or make a variety pack)
chocolate coated candies (like M &M’s) for a festive touch, use a bag of the Christmas variety
pretzels, you can use sticks or rings. (to make this recipe gluten free, substitute a bag of gluten free pretzels)
Directions:
Step 1: Melt the chocolate bark in a microwave safe bowl. We usually melt the chocolate for 1 1/2 minutes and then remove it from the microwave and stir. If it is not completely melted, we return it to the microwave for another 45 seconds to a minute.
Step 2: Mix in the pretzels and and M&M’s. Stir until blended.
Step 3: Spread mixture evenly across a sheet of waxed paper. Place in freezer for 10 to 15 minutes until mixture is hardened.
Step 4: Remove candy from freezer. Break into pieces.
Tips: This recipe makes a lot of candy! We used it in gift bags for coworkers. If you aren’t giving the candy as gifts, you can cut the recipe in half. We also divided the recipe, using white chocolate and milk chocolate melts. If you prefer, you can also swirl the chocolate.
