Usually, toward the end of a trip, I am tired and ready for a relaxing evening when I arrive in my hotel. We had driven by the Fairfield Inn & Suites earlier in the day. I saw it was within a mile of the interstate and was a little worried. I am a light sleeper. Would I be kept awake all night by the noise? I need not have worried because from the minute we checked in all was blissfully quiet. One of my main concerns when staying at a hotel is free internet. I asked at the front desk and was told “Yes, just enter your last name and room number.” Score!
I was also informed of the free continental breakfast each morning. Our selections included fruit, juice, yogurt, waffles, oatmeal, biscuits & gravy, eggs, sausage, bacon and pastries. There was definitely enough selection for picky eaters. I tucked away some fruit and yogurt while Bryan dived into the heartier fare. The pool was almost directly across from our room so I made a quick detour to check it out. I am all about relaxing in the hot tub! For those who want more of a workout than moving back and forth between the pool and hot tub, the property also includes tennis courts and a small fitness room.
When we finally arrived at our room, I discovered it met my “kid friendly standards” of including a fridge and a microwave. I like being able to keep some sodas or juice in the room and be able to microwave a snack, if needed. This is a huge budget saver when traveling with kids instead of having to run out and find them a snack. For the business traveler, each room includes an office space of a desk and ergonomic chair as well as a lap desk to use while relaxing in bed.
After dinner we settled down on the comfy beds to watch some television. As one of the few people in the world without cable, it was the perfect time to catch up on some Food Network!
If you stay: There is no charge for parking and free coffee in the lobby around the clock. They also have a new Fairfield Guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied, they will do whatever they can to make it right, although we found the staff to be courteous and helpful.
Where is your go to place to stay when you are on the road?
This looks like a great place to stay. Family friendly too which is nice!
We don’t have a specific hotel we like to stay at. It all depends on how the hotel has rated with past customers and the price range in comparison to the amenities offered. This looks like it would be a nice place to stay!
Looks like a great place to stay. Those beds, I want to crawl into one right now, they look so soft and comfy!
Everything looks great! The beds, the pool and you can’t beat free wi-fi either.
Those beds look so comfy! The pool also seems refreshing. I love that it’s indoors!
We have a gift card for Fairfield and I haven’t used it. After reading this, I’ll be looking harder for a reason to use it! Everything looks great.
it’s so colorful and clean. makes me want to travel more
This looks like a beautiful place to stay, I haven’t stayed away from home too often, actually only have twice for two different blogging events. I want to start traveling more and staying in hotels, will certainly have to look into this further for some vacation trip with the fam!
I really like that they have an indoor pool. When we stay at hotels that’s something we also look for.
Any place that preferably offers a continental breakfast that is family friendly, clean and affordable 🙂
What a fantastic lobby! Fairfield Inn & Suites in Paducah KY looks really nice to stay at. Free internet is important to me, also.
We have always had really good luck with Fairfield Inns. This one looks very nice.
Wow, that is seriously the most inviting lobby I have ever seen. What a nice place to stay!
I have never visited Kentucky, will have to check out Fairfield when I get out there. Free WiFi is definitely the key for me too! Looks comfortable.
Looks like a great hotel. I like the guarantee. I have not stayed in a hotel in a while. But I will definitely think about Fairfield in the future.
Looks like a great place to stay. Looked really nice and clean and I love the breakfast and the wifi. We usually stay in different places when we travel just to see what is out there and to try new things.
We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Boca Raton, So clean, comfy and budget friendly. We loved it!
I use to work at a traveling job and at times I would be in as many as 3 hotels a week. The ones that I always looked for Were Holiday Express, Mainstay suites (They have a small kitchen and seperate sitting room & bedroom), and Fairfield Inn. Sleep Inns were kind of iffy. Some of them were very nice and others were not at all.
This looks like a great hotel to stay at. I don’t really have a favorite place to stay. I always try to stay at a place that has the free breakfast.
I really enjoy Fairfield Inn. I stay in their hotels often when traveling for work.
Faifield Inn looks fantastic! I’d love to spend a few days there with the family.
This looks like a great place. The beds look heavenly and the pool and hot tub would be my first choice right after breakfast. 🙂
What an awesome place! It’s so colorful, and the rooms look super comfortable. I’d stay there, for sure.
The rooms at The Fairfield Inn and Suites. I wish they had a location im my area i would love a weekend get away.
My husband just retired from the AF (reserves). Because he had a high rank, on weekends when he had camp, if the base was full, they would put him up in a Fairfield Inn. I stayed with him a few times and it was really nice at the one we stayed at.
We really do not have a go to place – we do like to stay in quality hotels. The Fairfield Inn and Suites looks like our kind of hotel – very nice. I never knew that Fairfield was owned by Marriott – nice to know. We will for sure be staying in a Fairfield next trip.
