From Fluffy to Fit

Hello, cat lovers and dog lovers, too, I guess.  It’s Okie here to talk to you today about a subject that is near and dear to my heart–food.  I am all about food. I follow my mom around the house  in case she might be hiding some cat treats I don’t know about.  I’m still a young cat and I get plenty of exercise chasing my siblings through the house and wrestling with the foster cat, but  58% of cats in America are obese. Call it fluffy or whatever, but the sad point is it’s not healthy.  The extra weight can reduce play time,  impact mobility and affect their general health. What if  they needed to chase someone around the house or attack their  toy mouse?
My mom says, speaking from experience, it is hard to go on a diet.  No one wants to see their companion going without food.  That’s why she wants everyone to know about the Hills Metabolic Diet.  What’s so special about this diet?  While eating Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution, an overweight animal’s metabolism changes to act more like that of a lean animal.  It has  clinically proven nutrition that naturally activates metabolism to burn calories and regulate appetite.  Even after weight loss is achieved, the highly efficient energy metabolism profile is maintained. Isn’t this amazing?

I am going to show you this cute video about a dog named Bear.  After he tried Hills Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution, his pet parent said, “It was like getting a friend back.” It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to these stories.

I know what you are thinking. “Okie, you’ve shown us how it works on dogs. Does it work for cats too?” The answer is yes. Here’s a picture of a cat named Lenny, who lived at a vet clinic. Before he began using Hill’s Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution, he weighed 14.6 pounds and was known for being notorious for helping himself to the “buffet” on the food shelves. After he finished his diet,  he weighed 11.4 pounds. See how svelte and stylish Lenny is?  His companions said, “Where other diets have failed, Metabolic has worked. He loves the food and has a lot more energy. ”

My mom says any diet with  an 88% success rate and shows results within 60 days is a keeper.  Oh, my favorite song is playing,”I do it for the a paws, a paws, a paws.” I’ve got to run, but remember my motto, “No day when you can chase a sibling around the house is a bad day.” Do you have a pet who needs to try Hills Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution?

  15. I have one cat that is underweight and one that is overweight. It is so hard to control their eating unless we sit and watch them. I have been using the Hills Weight Solution for about a week now and are hoping it helps our overweight kitty. We just have to keep it away from our underweight kitty, she has special dietary needs so I have to make her food for her.

  16. Wow!! Lennie looks so thin now. What a difference.

  17. Wow! Lennie looks pretty awesome! That is a huge accomplishment! I need to check this out for out big chubby fluffball!

  18. Despite the best intentions, it’s really easy to slip up and let your furbabies get fluffy! Exercising along with them is always a great idea.

  19. I actually have a dog who needs it. When my father-in-law adopted our MinPin he allowed the dog to balloon… wow… will have to look into this to see if it is available for him,

  20. Isn’t it interesting that as a nation, we have become a majority of over weight people? And now, we are passing it along to our pets. It’s so easy to help get our cats back on track with products like Metabolic…Solution. Wish it could be that easy for humans.

  21. I JUST had our cat at the vet over the weekend for her checkup and shots, and YES. She is about 6 pounds overweight. Thank you for this post!

  24. I loved the story in the video. We have a little pup that we are trying to get to lose some weight before it gets out of control. I will have to read up more about this and see if this is something we should try.

  25. My pooch is on Hills prescription diet and at 13 she is doing amazingly so I have to say I do think they do a great quality food.

  26. That’s wonderful what a difference it has made for those pets. It’s so bad for them to be overweight, so I’m glad it’s a method that works.

  29. I the differences I feel when I am not eating well. I can only assume its the same when feeding for our pets but we often forget. Your post really sheds light on how little we often pay attention to their nutrition.

  30. Oh my goodness, what a difference in your cat! My cat is starting to get on the heavy side; even with us taking care to not give him too much food. But he’s so lazy and doesn’t do a lot of active play.

  31. I have an over weight cat right now. I guess I dont think about the health risks he faces too!

  32. It’s odd to think that pets need to do on diets, but sometimes they do. It’s good to know there is a product out there that tastes good to them and helps them slim down.

  33. Just like with humans, a lot of it has to do with portion size. We used to leave dry dog food out for them to snack on, but then they just grazed all day and got fat.

  34. My Daughter has to special cook her cat chicken and organic rice so she doesn’t gain weight. I am going to have to check and see if she knows about Hills. She just may not have to cook any longer.
