Father’s Day will be here soon. If you’re like me you need father’s day gift ideas. I can’t tell you how many time I’ve bought presents for dad only to have him purchase the same thing two days before his big day. Or maybe you wait until the last minute and only have a couple of days left to come up with Father’s Day presents? (No judgement here!) Here’s a cute, low cost DIY picture craft that will make any dad smile. Because the best gifts for dad come from the heart, right?
How to make Personalized Fathers Day Pictures:
These are such cool gifts for dad and all you need are a few easy to find items; wooden letters, one wooden heart and a photo frame. You can find the letters at Hobby Lobby or Michael’s in different colors and sizes. If you don’t like the colors available, they are easy to paint. These letters were spray painted white and the heart was spray painted red. We’ve spelled out “WE LOVE DAD”, but you can come up with any phrase you want. I then sprayed painted the letters white and the heart red.
Next, find a good spot for taking photos. You can take them at the park, at your home, nearby museums or at your family’s favorite hangout. Be creative!
Print out the photos on your computer or take them to your favorite store to have them printed. Because this project had 3 photos, we used a frame with three spaces for pictures. You can make more or less pictures if you want. Place the photos in the frame and voila, personalized fathers day gifts! If you replicated the photos each year, you could also make a series of Fathers Day cards that show the kids as they grow!
