Gluten Free Fridays 18

Welcome back to gluten free Friday! Each week, we bring you the latest and greatest in gluten free brands and products. We’ve partnered with some great brands, who have sent us samples to try, but we only share products that we truly enjoy— and that we think our readers will love, too! Let’s see what we have this week.

1. Carrington Farms Coconut Oil makes high quality Coconut Oil, along with other oils, seeds, and grains. We received coconut oil to try out. Since my daughter has several allergies, coconut oil works for us as a butter substitute in some recipes. She can be a little picky (she is a toddler, after all) so having a high quality coconut oil is important. Carrington Farms does not miss the mark!

2. Viki’s Granola is perfect for breakfast food lovers and all-day snackers. Viki’s Granola is gluten free, dairy free, and contains zero trans fats. Plus, it’s just plain good! My little brother actually wound up taking some of it to college with him for the summer, saying it might actually get him to eat breakfast at his apartment. Unlike some granolas, which can get a “break your teeth off” kind of texture, Viki’s Granola is flaky, and perfect for adding to trail mixes or just eating plain! Viki’s Granola does contain tree nuts.

3. Gaea’s Olives are made by Gaea, a company who produces high quality olive oils and olives. I craved olives during my pregnancy, so I’ve tried enough olives to be kind of an olive snob. We received an olive snack pack, which is olives (flavored or plain) in a small pouch, perfect for eating on the go. Although I ate the olives plain, the snack pack would be perfect for adorning a lunch time salad as well.

4. Hi-Chew is a Japanese fruit chew candy that comes in a variety of fun fruit flavors, like melon and green apple. The chews have been a favorite candy in my family for years now, so when we were sent samples, I had to be quick to snag a few for myself. A word of warning: although the Hi-Chew fruit chews do not contain gluten, the new Hi-Chew bites do, and should be avoided by celiacs.

5. Success Rice makes rice and quinoa products that even I can cook! We got a sample of Success Rice at the GFAF Expo in Atlanta, but we’ve been familiar with the brand for years. Although Success Rice is a household name, they’ve recently introduced Success Quinoa. I’ve struggled with making the perfect, fluffy quinoa. Sometimes it just turns into a soupy mess! Success Rice has totally fixed that problem with Success Quinoa.
