Need to find a last minute gift idea for a friend or family member? (Remember, it’s okay to give the gift after Christmas if you forgot. It’s the thought that counts. Although my children disagree with that statement and say it is not okay to forget them.)
Let’s face it, most of us suffer from chapped lips during the winter. Our family has relied on Carmex to provide relief for years. Their new lip conditioner is available in a yummy orange flavor and contains 13 moisturizers to keep lips soft and subtle. I like the non-greasy, creamy feel of the conditioner when I apply it to my lips. At $1.98 a package it makes a great stocking stuffer.
The holiday season can be a difficult time. The hustle and bustle can get us down. For anyone in need of a pick me up, Chicken Soup for the Soul books always provide an uplifting message. Their new book, The Power of Positive, tells how people have used a positive attitude to solve problems, reach goals, change their lives or overcome challenges. Sometimes when I am having a bad day I need to be reminded of the Power of Positive.
I used to love reading bedtime stories to my children and enjoyed finding good books to read to them. Starr Meade has created the Wondrous Works of God to highlight 90 Bible stories. Each story includes a helpful discussion guide to get children talking.
Safari, Ltd. produces museum quality replicas of animals, historical figures and more. They are great for stimulating the imagination and encouraging creative play. I loved this set of mini ornaments that could be added to a small tree. Even better, they can’t be broken when a cat decides to knock them off the tree.

What cute little figures! They’d be fun for any stocking and I could use an injection of positive right now 🙂
