Chess Bars Recipe

These Chess Bars are so decadent. The soft top filling topped with toasted almonds makes a rich, satisfying dessert people will rave about. I attended a cookie swap and someone brought these bars. I couldn’t believe how fast they disappeared!

These chess bars are so decadent but so easy to make.
Ingredients
  • Ingredients needed for Crust
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 eggs
  • Ingredients needed for Filling
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
Instructions
  1. Mix the cake mix, butter and eggs. Press in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
  2. Mix all ingredients together and pour over crust; sprinkle top with 1/2 cup toasted almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
