How to Make Pink Baby Shower Punch

We’ve been in the baby shower mode lately as I’ve tried to plan treats and goodies.  When I asked what everyone wanted to drink, the response was “Baby Shower Punch!” This is a recipe I’ve used for years, changing it up for different holidays, like this slime punch for Halloween.  The Pink Baby Shower Punch recipe has several variations you can use to suit your taste.  The punch is also gluten free so it can be enjoyed by Celiacs.

You’ll need raspberry sherbet, lemon-lime soda and pineapple juice.   To prepare the punch: pour the lemon-lime soda and pineapple juice into a large punch bowl. Stir until blended. Slowly add the raspberry sherbet and stir.  It should blend well and have a nice pink frothy texture on top of the punch.

Want to mix up the flavors? Substitute white grape juice for the pineapple juice and ginger ale for the lemon lime soda.   I’ve also had friends who substituted cranberry juice for the pineapple juice, but beware, that version is tart. Helpful hint: Chill the pineapple juice and lemon-lime soda. It helps leave the frothy texture on the top of the sherbet. Warm liquids can cause it to melt quickly and separate, in my experience.

Once the punch is blended, serve immediately or keep in the fridge until ready to serve.
