The Hundred Foot Journey & World Market

I absolutely love to travel. My bucket list is mainly travel destinations. I have said, with utter seriousness, when the kids are out of school I plan to start a new career as an airline stewardess so I can travel often.  This could be a problem since flying early in the morning without adequate sleep makes me a little queasy, but I will figure it out!  Naturally, when I heard World Market had teamed up with Disney for a promotion of their new movie, The Hundred Foot Journey, I was intrigued.

If you haven’t heard of The Hundred Foot Journey, in theaters August 8th, here’s a quick peek.  It’s the story of  Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal) is a culinary ingénue with the gastronomic equivalent of perfect pitch. Displaced from their native India, the Kadam family, led by Papa (Om Puri), settles in the quaint village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the south of France. Filled with charm, it is both picturesque and elegant – the ideal place to settle down and open an Indian restaurant, Maison Mumbai. That is, until the chilly chef proprietress of Le Saule Pleureur, a Michelin-starred, classical French restaurant run by Madame Mallory (Academy Award®-winner Helen Mirren) gets wind of it.

Are you excited about seeing The Hundred Foot Journey? Who would you take with you if you won a trip to Paris?
