Growing up in the South, NASCAR was a big deal. Favorite drivers were discussed over dinner at family gatherings. Relatives turned on the race after dinner to see who would win. The Daytona 500 was not to be missed. Now there is a new way for kids to enjoy NASCAR. If you are a NASCAR fan, love motorsports, or have a kid who loves cars, you need to try NASCAR Acceleration Nation with your child.
This is a partnered post with NASCAR Acceleration Nation. All opinions are mine.
What is NASCAR Acceleration Nation? It’s a website and app, designed especially for kids, that is available on Android and iPhone. It’s filled with fun games, information on races, details on cars, exclusive NASCAR videos and activities. Kids can learn about their favorite NASCAR drivers, tracks and more on both platforms. Both the AccelerationNation.com website and the Acceleration Nation app are free.
One of my favorite things about the Acceleration Nation website is the learning materials about the science of racing. This is great for homeschoolers and teachers too. What better way to get a junior sports fan interested in science than learning about the science of racing?NASCAR Acceleration Nation is a way for kids to have fun learning about NASCAR through science, technology, and innovation. Of course, the kids will think they are just playing games and watching videos. Why bother to tell them they are learning STEM skills, the science of speed and more?
There are two units available for the fifth, sixth and seventh grades. Teachers can download four lesson units for both aerodynamics and energy. Parents will be glad to know that Acceleration Nation is a safe environment. There is no way for members to contact, message or interact with each other, and no way to exchange information with other members in any way.
You can download the FREE Acceleration Nation app today at the App Store or Google Play Store. And, if you decide to attend a race, kids twelve and under are FREE to all NASCAR XFINITY and Camping World Truck races. If you are trying to make learning fun, the Acceleration Nation is the place to be!
Have you tried Acceleration Nation? What was your favorite feature? There is also a great contest you can enter below. I never really thought about the science of racing! Such a great idea to teach kids about it. Makes a great resource for STEM.
I have never paid attention to NASCAR, but since my boys are obsessed with cars I guess I should start learning about it. They would love this contest!
I have never been much into NASCAR. My kids however love racing. This seems like a legit way to engage kids with something they love.
this is a great way to teach kids and get them interested in science. love this! I’ll be sure to spread the word of this contest.
oh, and I think it’s great that southern states have traditions and similar interests to share with the family, such as Nascar. My family is like that with baseball!
Cool! i will show this to my son! He seems to be interested in things like those!
NASCAR acceleration App sounds really interesting and fascinating. i was not aware of this, will check it out.
I got my love for Nascar Cup racing from my Dad, we started watching races together when I was young and eventually also attended some. This app sounds neat for someone new to the sport.
My girls and I would love to go the Chicagoland Speedway Race! I have seen the racetrack and it looks so cool!
This sounds like such a great app that makes learning fun for the kids. Great giveaway too!
Sounds like a fun way to learn about speed, aerodynamics and more. I will let my sister know about this. Her son would be very interested to have this app, and my sister would be happy to know that it is a safe app – users cannot contact and message each other so exchange of information is not going to be a cause of worry.
Cool app! My nephew would love this. And it’s nice that you mentioned it’s a safe environment. You can never really be too safe these days.
This app will be so much fun. I love that it offers so many learning opportunities in addition to the NASCAR fun.
Anything that helps kids get interested in Science is awesome in my book. There are not enough kids out there getting involved, but they love sports. Perfect way to combine the two.
Haven’t tried Acceleration Nation YET but thanks for the information. I’ve spent many days in the pits and on the tracks with my family as racing was one of my father’s hobbies when I was growing up.
Any kind of racing is big around here where I live. Kids going love this
This sounds like something my kiddo would love! He is such a car kid that I don’t think I would ever be able to get him off this app. I like that it does have a lot of learning tools on it also.
This sounds like a cool way to learn! We don’t homeschool, but my kids always like to learn more about things. I must enter that contest too!
I’ll have to share this with my daughter. She is homeschooling her four sons. We don’t live far from the Charlotte Motor Speedway and the boys love racing. They’ll love this!
