Magic Color Changing Bath Salts Recipe For Kids

I constantly see ideas on how to make bath time fun for kids.  I have to admit, my kids never resisted a bath. Even the baby toddles over when she thinks it is bath time and demands to be put into the water.  We hand her a rubber duck and some small plastic bowls and she’s good to go.  In case she doesn’t like baths quite as much as she gets older, I have a fun idea on standby; this easy Magic Color Changing Bath Salts recipe for kids. The great thing about this recipe is it is low cost, uses only two ingredients, and can be mixed up in under five minutes.  For some reason, it does remind me of the Pop Rocks candy I had as a child, so either pour the mixture into the water before the kids get in the tub, or use with kids who know not to eat it.

Ready for the directions? Mix the Epsom salt and drink mix together in a large bowl until blended. That’s it. Easy-peasy.  The Fruity Bath Salts are ready to use.  All you need to do is add 1/2 cup bath salts to the tub while the water is running.  When the tub is full, stir the water gently for a minute. In other words, just swish your hand around for a minute until the bath salts blend.  Store the blend in the refrigerator for up to a month. (Although the kids will probably try to use it all before then.)
