Make a Splash This Summer!

We have spent some time traveling this summer and the kids have asked me repeatedly, “Does this place have a water park? I’d like to visit a water park.” Attractions can be a little pricey if everyone in the family attends, so it always helps to find a discount. If you are in or around Gulfport, Mississippi or Birmingham, Alabama (or traveling near or through these areas), I have found some coupons to help you enjoy some serious splashing fun with the kids.

We were in Birmingham, Alabama for two years so I can attest to the “fun factor” of  Splash Adventure WaterPark.  Here’s a tidbit about them:

Alabama’s greatest water adventure! Create water fun your way, whether it’s relaxing by the wave pool and enjoying the lazy river or amping up the excitement with monster slides, Wipeout Adventure Course, Mist-ical Maze, Zip Line and more! See the new Sea Lion show through July 21st and experience special events throughout the season. Great for the family or a larger group outing. Located on the 20/59 Exit 110 just minutes from Birmingham and Hoover.

We’ve visited New Orleans once this year but plan to take another trip.  I didn’t realize Gulf Island Waterpark in Gulfport, Mississippi was only an hour away. Can you guess where the kids want to visit during our trip?   Here’s the lowdown:

Discover the Gulf Coasts biggest and wettest waterpark! Challenge your friends on the Riptide Racer speed slide then enjoy the thrills and spills of the Gulf Coast’s only water roller coaster, Horn Island Blaster. After you Ride the waves in the huge Waveland Wave Pool, the whole family can mosey down the Lazy Pearl River. The fun doesn’t stop there. With miles of slides and thousands of gallons of water, there’s over a million ways for your family to get soaked and have fun all summer long!

  1. This looks fun. We have a couple of water parks near us, Oceans of Fun and Schlitterbahn that just opened. We hope to visit both of them this Summer.

  2. Oh sweet! That looks awesome! We are headed to our first water park for the season next week. My son is totally thrilled!

  3. Love water parks, this one looks like great fun! We are hoping to head to our local one this month.

  4. I haven’t been to a water park in over 20 years. I really wanted to go to one this summer but I have to an adult and remember that I have a herniated disc in my neck and this will likely aggravate it 🙁 it looks like so much fun. They are pricey and I if it stormed you can get your money back, but its worth spending the day there when you live in Florida

    • Aw, that stinks, Olivia! It has been a few years since I have gotten to go to a water park and I think the entire family is looking forward to this. The last one we went to wouldn’t let anyone have their money back and it stormed for a couple of hours.

  5. oh i want to go! water parks are so much fun. do you know my kids haven’t ever been? what kind of mom am i??

  6. I love spending my summer doing these types of activities.

  8. This is a great deal. My kids always ask to go to a waterpark and its soo expensive. Every penny we can save is a deal. This looks like such a great park. We visit Alabama often so this will go on our list of things to do. Thanks for sharing

  9. I didn’t realize that they had so many water slides and rides there. My family would love this.

  10. This looks like something that my son would like. We’ve never been to a water park that is this big before, so this will be “big time” if we go.

  11. Looks like an awesome place. We would love to go to a waterpark this summer. We have a few options by us I need to check out.
