Do you have a difficult to buy for dad? I do! He tells me for months before a holiday something he needs or wants. Then, a couple of days before the holiday, he tells me, “I bought myself that shirt/fancy coffee maker/whatever I had my eye on.” Really? Really? How can this happen for every holiday? As for my Father-in-law, I have no idea what to get for him. I’ve gone through hobbies, gift cards, books and magazines, you name it. This year I’ve decided to go a different route. The first season of the HBO series True Detective was released on June 10th and is available from Best Buy. (As a matter of fact, HBO All on Sale will be from 6/8 – 6/14 at Best Buy – both in store & online, so I can save some dough and still give a fun gift that I can watch too. Yes, that’s a small bonus for me!)
If you haven’t heard of True Detective, it revolves around the lives of two detectives, Rust Cohle and Martin Hart, as they become entangled during a 17-year hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana. Starring Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Monaghan, it’s intrigue, mystery and danger all rolled up in one.
Are the men in your life not into mysteries? Best Buy has other HBO shows are available, like Game of Thrones, Eastbound and Down, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. They have something for every type of dad. Besides, how many ties does Dad need? I’m ready for a gift that I can share!

Great gift idea, my husband is very hard to buy for but one things for sure he loves good Detective Movies. I think I will grab this for us both. Both actors are my favorite!
