I need energy when I am traveling!

My absolute favorite way to spend time with my family is traveling.  I was bitten with the traveling bug at an early age and have tried to ensure my children were exposed to traveling opportunities whenever possible, even if they weren’t thrilled. “You’ll thank me for this later!” I would say.  When my husband worked out of town on business, we spent the summer traveling with him to different locales and exploring the city.  The one downside to this was keeping up with active kids who seemed to have a boundless supply of energy.  Me? Not so much.  What’s my secret to keep up with the kids? I have 5-hour ENERGY® shots  stashed away in my “On the go Summer Survival kit” I carry with me at all times.  5-hour ENERGY®  shots are sugar, carb and herbal stimulant free with only four calories, so I don’t have to worry about those annoying energy crashes that used to plague me either, meaning I am not nodding off when the kids are playing and decide they want to try to catch a squirrel.  Yes, that actually happened when my daughter was young! Thankfully, the squirrel got away.

If you are planning on frequent travel or just spend a lot of time in the car, an “on the go kit” can be a lifesaver.  Make one of  these to save last minute trips to the store in a strange area when traveling.
Here’s some essentials I am never without:

energy
Hand Sanitizer—for the times the kids find something nasty to pick up and show me
Disinfecting wipes—For public bathrooms that are less than sanitary
Tissues—handy to wipe noses and spills
Headache medicine—because sometimes road trips can cause tension headaches!
Small First Aid Kit—for the times the kids fall from the playground equipment, or while hiking, or skin their knee at the pool, the list is endless
Sunscreen—because the kids never remember to pack this in their swim bag
Lip balm and cotton swaps
Allergy relief crème and medicine—because my kids and husband can find every type of stinging bug and insect imaginable
Energy Shots – for me to keep up with the rest of the family!
Snacks and drinks for the kids—because then I can cure hunger without having to stop for pricey fast food
I usually round out my kit with motion sickness medicine, stomach relief medicine and some antiseptic cream for cuts and bruises.

Exploring is more fun when prepared with a Summer Survival Kit.

You can find 5-Hour ENERGY at Walgreens.

You can find 5-hour ENERGY® shots  at Walgreens when you are picking up supplies for an on the go summer survival kit.  #ThisIsMySecret way to survive the summer.  I don’t mind using these, especially the Pink Lemonade flavor, because the 5-hour ENERGY® shots have about as much caffeine as one cup of premium gourmet coffee.  That’s just enough to keep me alert and allow me to sleep later that night when it is actually time for bed!  Do you have a secret way to survive during the summer?
