How To Make a Simple Lighted Fall Centerpiece

Every year I host a huge Thanksgiving dinner for the entire family at my home. That means I have to come up with cute fall centerpieces for my table. One thing I’ve learned over the years is easy centerpieces are my thing. I want them to come together quickly but still look nice. Last year, when I made my simple, elegant Christmas Centerpiece, I discovered Beatriz Ball handmade Metal Wear, I found the perfect base for my creations. This year I am using one of their new pieces, the Pedestal Organic Pear Nova decorative silver platter, for the fall and Christmas centerpieces in my dining room.
Simple Fall Centerpiece

I started with a fall inspired vine, a package of cloth fall leaves, four pumpkins (I used fake pumpkins so they can be reused year after year, but real pumpkins or squash would be lovely too), and two orange nonflammable led lights.  This centerpiece took all of five minutes to put together.  I began by arranging my vine on the pedestal and covering it with the cloth leaves so none of the string was showing.  I arranged the pumpkins on top of the leaves and added the led tea lights to the center.

I had planned to place a clear vase with an orange pillar candle inside in the center of the pedestal, but then realized it might be hard to see over for conversation. I still believe it would be a great addition to a buffet table. This pedestal is so versatile that I plan to use it to make centerpieces for all occasions.  The pieces of the Beatrix Ball collection are made by hand, one piece at a time, using the same casting method used by Romans and Greeks to create masterpieces.  Molten aluminum alloy is poured into individual sand molds, and hand polished to a deep lustrous finish.

Stay tuned to see my Christmas centerpiece I’ll be making around the holidays!  What is your must have item for you holiday table?
