The 2016 Men Who Have Everything Gift Guide

Men can be hard to buy gifts for. I don’t know if this is a universal male experience or if it’s limited to the ones in my family, but if you buy something they say they want, you’ll find that they bought it for themselves the day before. And really, there are only so many ties and warm socks that one guy can get, right? That’s why for this year’s Men’s Gift Guide, we’re showcasing some outside the box gift ideas that guys will love, and probably haven’t thought of buying for themselves….yet.

Men’s Holiday Gift Guide 2016

For the Techie:

Are the guys in your life techies? If so, they probably have all the latest gadgets. Don’t worry, though. You can still impress them with your technical know-how and great taste. For the techie, consider:
1) Moxyo Accessories We received a cell phone case, cable, and charger from Moxyo. Moxyo is “inspired by people, the city, and music,” and makes sleek gear for all of the gadgets you own. Moxyo offers call phone cases for the latest iPhones and Samsung Galaxy. The cases vary, but are snug-fit to protect your phone without adding bulk. These cases let your style show, and offer quality previously relegated to products that were twice the price! Another thing: is your husband/son/whoever always losing their phone charger? They can be hard to keep up with. Moxyo offers chargers and lightning cables, so you can always get in touch with the guys in your life. (Or at least they can’t blame it on not having a charger!) Visit the Moxyo website to order. Find them on twitter and Facebook at @moxyobrands.

2) Edifier Headphones Great sound is everything. You can’t enjoy music without great headphones. However, great headphones may not always be in Santa’s budget for the year. With Edifier brand, you don’t have to compromise sound quality for price. We received the H650 Headphones for our gift guide. These headphones fold flat for easy storage, and their ergonomic fit keeps them from hurting your head during a long jam session. With great reviews, these headphones are sure to please any music lover or tech lover. Edifier offers a variety of headphones and speakers, so you’re sure to find just the right fit for the guy in your life. Whether you’re looking for gaming headphones, smart phone headphones, home theatre speakers, or something else, be sure to check out Edifier at their website. Find them on twitter at @edifierNAmerica and Facebook at @edifierglobal.

Are the guys in your life less of the “tech-loving” kind and more of the “outdoor adventuring” type? Don’t worry, because we have you covered. The next few items on our gift guide for men are perfect for the men who love to be outside.

For the Adventurer:

 1) Life Gear Sport Utility Flashlight  and Search light 500 When I was first learning to drive, my dad told me to always keep a flashlight in my car. You know, just in case. I took his advice to heart, but I learned something else over the years. Don’t settle for cheap flashlights. Whether you have a guy who travels a lot, camps, or goes spelunking, he probably needs a high-quality flashlight. Life Gear makes durable, high quality flashlights and headlamps. They even sell LED emergency flares and reusable glowsticks. Cool, right? We received the Sport Utility + Survival 300. This is a crush resistant flashlight with survival tools built in. Yeah, a flashlight with a fire starter? This is great for any prepper, wannabe zombie fighter, or someone who has read a few too many articles about global warming (cough my husband cough). We also received the Search Light 500 + Emergency Beacon. This is great for hikers, boaters, campers, or ATVers. The flashlight has 4 light modes, including red safety signal and rescue beacon. It’s water resistant, so your guy will be safe even in a downpour! Purchase Life Gear Flashlights on their website. Find them on Facebook and Twitter at @lifegear.

2. ) iBobber  Mobile Fishfinder and App  Do you have a fisherman in your family? My husband loves to fish. He could probably fish all day if he had the chance! One of the things he’s been asking for is “those things that help you find where the fish are,” and guess what? This Christmas he’s in luck. We received the iBobber for our gift guide, which is the smallest sonar fishfinder on the market. This fishfinder is castable, and syncs with the app on your smartphone or tablet to let you find exactly the best place to cast. It has 10 hours of battery life, so your fisherman can fish for as long as they want without having to give up fish finding! The iBobber has a 42 degree range, allowing you to find fish that aren’t directly underneath you, and it works up to 135 feet in depth. The iBobber retails for $99, making it an affordable way to help your fisherman catch more fish. Trust me, Justin needs all the help he can get. Would any men in your life love this? Then head over to Reel Sonar (reelsonar.com) to check it out. Find them on twitter and Facebook at @reelsonar.

3) Intova Dub Sport Action Camera  It was on my dad’s bucket list that we went tubing down the Chattahoochee River. It was less fun than we expected, but the real disappointment was that the waterproof camera we brought along….just wasn’t great. For our next adventure? We’re bringing the Intova Dub Sport Action Camera. This waterproof camera is perfect for all your kayakers, fishermen, wakeboarders, or anyone else getting out on the water. It’s in a rugged casing to protect it from whatever you can throw at it, and it’s built to float for easy retrieval. In its housing, it’s fully waterproof to 60 meters. Can you say snorkeling in the Caribbean? This camera is compatible with a 32GB MicroSD card, which isn’t included. If the Dub isn’t for you, check out Intova’s full range of cameras, which incorporate a variety of price points to make sure you can find the waterproof camera that works best for you or your guy. You can find these cameras at many retailers worldwide, or by checking out their website. Find them on twitter at @intova and Facebook at @intovawaterproofcams.

For the Handyman:

Maybe the guys in your life aren’t adventurers or techies. Maybe they’re more like my dad, the (wannabe) handyman. Do they already have every tool under the sun? Wrenches, table saws, weird little things that only do one very specific job? If so, check out the last item on our list.
1) Black & Decker Electric  4V Max ROTO-BIT Storage Screwdriver My dad already had an electric screwdriver. However, this screwdriver? He’s excited about it. Black + Decker has been a trusted brand in our family for years. Every power tool with the Black + Decker name on it has worked well and been with us for….pretty much as long as I can remember. This Christmas, Dad’s electric screwdriver is getting an upgrade with the 4V MAX* ROTO-BIT Storage Screwdriver. It’s small enough to fit in a drawer, plus includes 8 bits for a variety of tasks. My favorite feature is the on board magnet holds extra screws, freeing up hands and also meaning they don’t get lost. It has a battery status indicator, which means you never have to worry about starting a project, only to run out of battery a few seconds into it. The battery holds a charge for up to 18 months. Still not convinced? It also has a LED light to make sure you can see exactly what you’re working on. The USB charger is guaranteed to charge up to 5 times faster. The two year limited warranty is sure to make you feel good about your purchase. Visit Black and Decker’s website to find a retailer near you. Don’t forget to update your honey-do list! Find them on Facebook and Twitter at @blackanddecker.
