The weather is getting cooler and that means it is time for fun fall drinks. I’m a person who loves hot flavored coffee drinks as the temperatures dip, but doesn’t love paying exorbitant prices. I stumbled across a recipe for Mocha Caramel Sea Salt Lattes and did a little experimenting to adjust for my personal taste, which is less coffee and more extras. When making this drink, be sure to stir in the dry ingredients before adding the milk. The hot liquid will dissolve them, adding to the rich taste.
One reason I have never made more coffee drinks for myself is I can’t drink an entire pot of coffee by myself. I usually drink one cup from a pot and then have to dump out the rest of the post. When I was offered a chance to try the iCoffee® Dial-A-Brew™ system I jumped on it. Here was my change to make as much or as little coffee as I want, from 4 to 12 ounces in ½ ounce increments. Not only is it compatible with any type of K-cup, it comes complete with a reusable K-cup, allowing me to purchase a package of my favorite blend and brew it one cup at a time. The SpinBrew™ Technology allows the coffee to spin, steam & stir inside the cup for a smoother blend.
The iCoffee features an energy saver mode and automatic shut off, for those of us who sometimes forget if we have turned something off, and a removable drip tray to accommodate larger mugs and travel mugs. The bonus of this machine is it is incredibly easy to use, as I am not a morning person.
- 1 cup (8 ounces) of coffee
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon dulce de leche syrup or caramel syrup
- Optional: whipped topping, extra dulce de leche and sea salt
- Brew coffee. When coffee is ready, add cocoa powder, sugar, sea salt and caramel. Stir until dissolved. Add milk and stir. Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of sea salt and a drizzle of caramel if desired.
Do you have a favorite morning coffee drink?
This looks good. I like the caramel drizzle on the top of it.
I would love to be able to make this and other coffee drinks at home. They are so good but buying them adds up quickly and costs a small fortune. I can’t wait to try your recipe.
This looks so delicious and decadent. I would love to sample this because it is probably very refreshing.

Yummy, what a delicious sounding drink. The little bit of sea salt sounds like it will balance out the caramel in this latte.
That is a pretty snazzy drink. I never would have thought of sea salt.
