Spring and Fall bring a bi-annual event to my life. It’s not one I enjoy or want to experience. What is it? My biannual sinus infection I’ve had since I was a child. There’s nothing like crushing sinus pressure in my face, along with a nose that feels so swollen I’m gasping for air to make me wish for a comfy bed and a long rest. Unfortunately, the good book and comfy bed never happen. I have to continue my daily routine. Taking care of the kids, house and working are no fun when I’m sick, but it’s part of the Sinus Struggle!
SUDAFED® asked me to share what my personal congestion story feels like in photos and I wasn’t sure where to begin. How does one go about describing the intense pain? So, here’s the lowdown. Sometimes it feels like a tricycle, peddled by tiny feet, being driven over my head.
Sometimes it feels like the pounding of a thousand horse’s hooves, running over my face.
Sometimes it feels like a sword has been poked through my eyes because the pain is so intense.
Ok, none of these things have ever happened to me so I can’t be sure that’s what sinus pressure feels like, but I believe it could be close. For years I’ve taken SUDAFED® whenever severe sinus congestion strikes, much to the relief of my family. They’ve never been thrilled with having me out of commission and not able to cook, drive them where ever they needed to go, or run errands for them.

I agree with Lorenzo, when I have Sinus Pressure, it does feel like a car is being crushed inside my head. At times the pressure is so bad and my head weighs a ton, if I don’t lay down, it feels as if my head will explode or make my body fall under the weight of it. #SinusStruggles

Sinus pressure is very uncomfortable. I have issues with breathing and it usually feels like I slammed my head into a brick wall. #SinusStruggles

My worse headaches are caused by #SinusStruggles It starts out just achy and stuffy through my face and then ends up a terrible, piercing, debilitating headache that lasts for hours.

Ahh Sudafed… My love in the fall/spring…#sinusstruggles. It feels like something takes over my head pressurein my nose and around my nose and then it starts in my eyes and around my head and sometimes brings on migraines…gah

I constantly have headaches, with post nasal drip, and I am always dizzy and its hard for my eyes to focus, also they hurt really bad all the time like they are going to pop(I just recently had them checked out and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with them). #SinusStruggles
Ugh, I totally can relate. I get such sinus pressure that it hurts so much to touch my face especially under my eyes…
Hooves going over your face must def. not be a nice feeling. I’m sorry to hear you have sinus struggles from time to time. My mom has them too!

Sinus pressure feels like my eyes are going to pop out!
#SinusStruggles feel like my nose is clogged up and I can hardly breathe. At other times, my nose just won’t stop running and my eyes tear up.
Whenever the weather changes, that’s when my sinus struggles are the worst! We just got a batch of cool weather in Florida, I’m preparing

My #SinusStruggles are horrible during the months of October and March, must be the change in weather. It feels like someone is hitting my head with a drumstick. THere have been sleepness night where I sit up in a chair because it pounds too hard when I lay down. Sudafed is my savior, I hate that you can only buy so much of it now! I have been taking it for many many years.
Sinus pressure is seriously no fun. Mine triggers my migraines and I just want to break things. LOL
Thankfully I don’t get many sinus headaches or pressure but the times I have had… I AM MISERABLE! The hard part is the quite making the medicine I used to rely on… so will have to give your suggestion a try next time.

Sinus pressure is one of the worst thing to deal with in my opinion! Anything to make it go away fast is perfect!
Sinus issues are horrible, so dipilitating. Sudafed has been in my medical line up for years and I know it will always take care of me!

I feel you on the seasonal allergies. Sudafed really helps me feel better though. Hoping I don’t get too bad here in GA.
Sudafed is the only thing that gets rid of my sinus headaches. It is like torture having all the pressure in your face.

It’s so funny, I was sick for awhile and I kept wondering if I should go to the doctor. Then I realized it was my sinuses! It’s the worst right now.
Sometimes Sudafed is the only thing that can shake it for me. I used to have horrible sinuses. Luckily, they have gotten better over time.
Thank goodness sinus infection only happens to me once in awhile because once it hits, I feel like it’s been here forever. You’ve described it to a T. Thanks to #SinusStruggles Sudafed, relief arrives quicker and lasts longer. Gasping for air is scary. I’m glad it’s working for you.

I have had some nasty stuff going on with sinuses for the last week and 3 days. It’s driving me nuts. Heading into the doctor because I can’t handle much more!
Yup, I feel your pain. It is all of those and so much more. When I get my sinus headaches I end up in bed for the day. Sucks 🙁 the struggle is real!!!
