We haven’t had Snowmageddon 2015 in the South, but we’ve had our share of nasty weather. Chilly overcast days with wind whipping the rain into our faces have managed to drive us indoors and keep us there. Not being able to spend much time outside has been bad, but a flu outbreak in our area has made almost everyone I come into contract with sick and sniffly. That’s why I’ve been enjoying my new Holmes Smart Air Purifier with WeMo. This air purifier does things I didn’t even know was possible! Sure, it uses True HEPA filtration to capture up to 99.97% of airborne particles, like smoke, pet dander, mold, pollen and dust, and operates so quietly that I sometimes forget it is running. But, what is so amazing about the Holmes Smart Air Purifier is the WeMo technology.
If you are like me, you have probably not heard of WeMo technology before. Here’s why I’m excited about WeMo. I was able to download an app to my iPhone that connects me to my air purifier from anywhere. By using the free WeMo app I can check the air quality in my home, adjust the setting on my purifier, receive notifications to let me know when the filter needs to be changed and more, from anywhere. That means when I come home I know I will be walking into fresh clean air. That’s a relief after a long day out facing the flu bug at every turn! If you don’t have an iPhone, don’t worry, the app works on android devices It’s easy to install for even the nontechie person and can be used with the entire line of WeMo products. Seriously, one of the products is a Crock-Pot Slow Cooker. How great would it be to realize, although I forgot to turn on my dinner before leaving home, I can turn it on while on the go?
