Pasghettis Italian Restaurant Branson

When we are on vacation we try to check out the local restaurants that appeal to the kids.  Driving along the strip it’s hard to miss Pasghetti’s Italian Restaurant. It’s known for featuring the “world’s largest meatball,”  which beckons passerby to stop and have a meal.  This meatball is a wonder. Featured on an episode of the show “Storage Wars,” the meatball made its way to Branson where it adorns the outside of the building with a passage that’s large enough to walk through. Imagine the fun kids will have when they tell people they’ve walked through a giant meatball!

But, this isn’t the only thing that Paghetti’s has going for it.  The decor inside the restaurant itself is stunning.  Divided into eight different “rooms” or sections, attention has been paid to detail to make this restaurant a showplace. The outside contains brick aged to make the restaurant appear to be an old building. Once inside the door, the kids won’t be the only one captivated by the decor.  The first room is designed to resemble a street plucked from the New York skyline in the ’40s. There are replicas of buildings with no attention spared to detail.  Along the top of one wall, a replica of a train dining car overlooks the restaurant. The kids will be fascinated to find a mini Ferris wheel inside the building too. It’s one of those dining experiences the kids will talk about for years.

Pasghetti’s is a family-owned restaurant and it shows in their attention to detail.  The menu includes traditional Italian food, but with a slight twist. Their signature Pasghetti and meatball only features one meatball, but it is a huge five-ounce creation centered in the middle of a bowl of spaghetti and their house-made marinara sauce.  If you’re not in the mood for spaghetti, Pasghetti’s also serves a variety of other pasta dishes, including their signature chicken alfredo pasta, and an assortment of soups, salads, and sandwiches.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Pasghetti’s also has a gluten-free menu with a choice of chicken primavera,  grilled lemon salmon, Italian grilled chicken, and pasta marinara.  Kids can choose from a selection of kid-friendly favorites on the Bambino menu, designed for ages 12 and under.   You’ll find kid-sized portions of lasagna, chicken tenders, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, and more.

Adults will be happy to discover the extensive wine menu with handcrafted “boutique wines” made by a local vinier.  There’s also a selection of cocktails including loaded lemonades, spiked teas, and cocktails crafted in a mason jar.  I was intrigued by the “Hawaiian Volcano,” a concoction of pineapple juice, orange juice, Southern Comfort, Di Saronno liqueur, Smirnoff Vodka, grenadine, and a flaming garnish.  This is on my list of things to try the next time I visit Branson. Of course, there’s a large selection of fountain drinks and bottled drinks, along with the traditional tea and coffee.

If you are looking for somewhere unique to eat the next time you are in Branson, Pasghetti’s is the place to be. Pasghetti’s is located at 3129 West Highway 76 and is open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner.  Have you visited Branson or Pasghetti’s?
