“Isn’t that Grumpy Cat?” my daughter asked me, picking up a stuffed Grumpy Cat plush. “Yes, it is!” I exclaimed, “Grumpy Cat is turning two on April 5th and our cats are going to celebrate her birthday.” My daughter sat down Grumpy cat slowly and backed away, convinced I had seriously veered into Crazy Cat Lady status. I found her and the other kids holding Frown on a Sticks in front of the cats a few minutes later and laughing hysterically. They also tried the Frown on a Stick for humans, but, because they are teenagers, it was hard to tell if this look was different from normal. Or at least that’s what they told each other. “Look at this frown! It looks like the normal expression. Can you tell any difference, Mom??”
The cats were less interested in having frowns putting on their faces and totally resisted the efforts to have party hats emblazoned with “NO!” placed on their heads. We were able to get a few shots while they tried to examine the frown and swat at it with their paws. One thing they were thrilled about was the opportunity to get to eat Friskies Party Mix. My cats are so spoiled. They know where I store the treats and one wrong move (opening the closet door) will bring a horde of cats descending on me, anxiously awaiting treats. No matter where they are in the house, if I should happen to yell, “Treats!” -the forbidden word- cats will materialize and run to their special spot to eat. Yes, each cat has a special place because they do not like to share.
To celebrate Grumpy Cat’s special day, my cats have put together a message for her.

I know they DO love their Friskies canned (dinners) – especially Mariner’s Catch, Sea Captain’s Supper, Ocean Whitefish, Salmon in Sauce – a few of their favorites! Oh and they love their dried food Seafood Sensations (as well as the Purina (who owns Friskies) Cat Chow Naturals) Thanks!
My two cats go nuts for Friskies the Party Mix Crunch Beachside variety, they prefer Friskies it seems.
The mixed grill is what we get and they do like friskies better for if I get another brand and have both out it is gone first. I have 3 cats!!

We have a grumpy cat and a pain in the butt cat! Maybe she’s just determined. If she wants something she tells you all about it! Wants to go outside? She will sit by the door and meow. Wants a treat – she follows you around meowing. Doesn’t want her dry food and wants a can of wet food? Sits by the bowl meowing. Determined? Demanding? Spoiled. Probably all 3. 🙂

I honestly do not think my cats have a favorite flavor of Friskies, I think it is any of them that come in a can, or a bag which means treat time. It is funny to see them tackle each other to see who can get to the food/treats first.
