Not only do I have my house to keep clean, I also have to clean the house for my dad, who has congestive heart failure. This seems like it would be an easy task since he is not able to move around much, but he’s a pack rat and extremely messy. He can spill more stuff on the floor than my kids did when they were toddlers! When his vacuum cleaner gave up the ghost, I thought,”No big deal. I will buy one for him.” Unfortunately, he has the thickest carpet I’ve ever seen, proving to be a downfall of vacuum cleaners everywhere. The kids got tired of unscrewing the hoses in the vacuum and pulling out thick fibers every ten feet or so. The kids decided to try my small vacuum and came through the house to inform me, “Hey, your vacuum just overheated, Mom.” I was about to take desperate measures when I received the Samsung MotionSync Bagless Upright Vacuum with Detachable Handheld Vac and Built -In Accessories.
The first thing I noticed was the swivel steering and reverse cambered wheels, allowing me to maneuver easily around the myriad amounts of furniture, oxygen cords and wheelchairs sitting in the way. The kids were not eager to try out the vacuum, as they usually had to stop every 5 minutes for repairs with the old vacuum. I assured them this one had a nine-chamber cyclonic system for strong, long-lasting suction. After a few minutes of hearing the vacuum cleaner running continuously, my son informed me, “This vacuum cleaner is working and not pulling up carpet fibers!” My daughter walked through and said, “Hey! This vacuum cleaner is actually getting up the dirt from the floor!”
Since we live in one of the top five cities for allergies in the nation, I spend a lot of my time trying to get rid of sneaky little allergens that make their way into our home. It doesn’t help that we have pets and loads of pet fur and pet dander. Imagine how happy I was to read, “Certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, this vacuum cleaner features an advanced HEPA filtration system that captures 99 percent of dust and fine particles.” Did I mention this vacuum moves seamlessly from carpet to hardwood floors? I can clean the entire house without bothering switching between cleaners. No more brooms for me! Another favorite feature is the long cord. I hate trying to vacuum and having to stop to hunt for an outlet every ten feet.
One of my best cleaning tips is “Clean down.” I begin and work my way from the ceiling downwards so the dust will go down. The detachable handheld Vac is a lifesaver! I can easily remove the pesky cobwebs from the corner of the ceiling, clean the ceiling fans, vacuum up any stray cat or dog hair from the furniture, and vacuum under the furniture too. While I am thrilled with this feature, the kids are less so. It has added more work to their chores!
It’s easy to empty the canister too. The one touch technology allows me to remove the canister, take it to the trash and dump it out in seconds. You wouldn’t believe all the dirt I removed from my dad’s carpet using this Samsung! I was sad to have to leave it at my dad’s house. Samsung always makes quality products so this doesn’t surprise me. I am more than willing to pay more for a vacuum like this that works really well and I will have for years. Sounds like something I need to put on my Christmas list.

What an awesome vacuum. We have a bag-less one and I love it. Ours has seen better days so I am in the market for a new one. This one is a tad pricey though.

I’ve been there with the cheaper motors burning up so fast it cancels out the cheaper price! This sounds really nice since we have 3 cats and 1000 kids (it seems like, some days). 😉 I’ll definitely have to check it out.

I have something very similar to this, and I love the ease of use! My best tip for quick cleaning is do one cleaning chore a day. Doesn’t take long and keeps the house tidy all week long!

Love that you don’t have to empty any bags. These style of vacuums cost less in the end run. Sooner or later we will have to buy something newer…will have to keep this in mind

Wow! I love this. I am a Samsung junkie so that automatically had my attention. I had no idea that they made a vacuum cleaner! I would love to have my whole house done in Samsung products and am slowly switching over as I replace older things. This looks like it would be great for me. I have RA and moving around a big bulky vacuum cleaner is just impossible for my. My husband does this chore but if I had this he wouldn’t have too!

It is a little pricey, Julie, but I had burnt up the motor on three $100 to $125 vacuums on my dad’s carpet. Finding one that worked was wonderful!
