Say HelloAgain to Lincoln

MKZ Hybrid
The MKZ Hybrid

Imagine spending an hour of your time driving around Midtown Atlanta in a new Lincoln, enjoying a stop at some of the trendiest sites in the area.  That’s how I spent a recent Friday afternoon when I visited the #HelloAgain Hub tour that has been traveling around the US for the past six months.  Offered a choice of riding or driving the new Lincoln MKZ, MKZ Hybrid or their new crossover vehicle, I decided I did not want to drive in rush hour traffic and happily hopped in the back seat of the new MKZ Hybrid which has a fuel efficiency of 45 miles per gallon. It was a chilly day with drizzling rain so I was thrilled to discover the back seats were heated.  I was feeling warm and toasty when we arrived at Parish Food and Goods.

We were escorted into the basement of the building to meet the inventor of Pork Clouds, an upscale version of Pork Skins, and watch as he made a batch before our eyes, finishing them off with his special pepper and spice mixture. He offered us samples and I was brave enough to try one.  It was, surprisingly for someone like me who doesn’t usually enjoy pork skins, pretty good.  After the demonstration, we wandered upstairs to take in the original tin ceilings and architecture of the 100 year old building.

Once we exited the building we were asked to choose a different vehicle for our ride back to the hub.  I chose the MKZ Crossover  and, once again, refused to drive.  While not as fuel efficient as the Hybrid, it has several features I wish I had, including the Blind Spot  Information System that shows in the mirrors when a car has entered the vehicle’s blind spots.  (Believe me, that happens a lot in Atlanta rush hour traffic.)

When we arrived back at the Lincoln hub, I had a fresh new take on Lincolns and plans to visit Parish Food and Goods for an informal snack or, if I could wrangle Bryan into it, a fancy dinner.  Have you said Hello Again to the new Lincolns?
