Simple Christmas Centerpiece

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our area. The stores have rolled out the holiday decor and baking supplies and it’s been a frigid November. There’s nothing like cold weather to make me think of comfort foods and seasonal decorating. What could possibly be a downside to the season? I’ll tell you! Every year I find myself rushing out at the last minute to pick up some item I have forgotten.  This is my busiest time of the year and I feel constantly pressured by time constraints. Sometimes I feel like I am spending a premium for items I would have gotten on sale any other time of the year when I have more time to shop.  That’s why I have teamed up with Shopular to give you easy ideas, crafts and recipes to make it through the holidays and save money.  What could be better?

This year I wanted a cute arrangement for my dining room table, but needed it to be simple, fast and low cost. I am constantly browsing at craft stores at the local mall so when the Shopular app, which tracks my location, popped up with deals and a coupon for Michael’s, I stopped in and found the supplies to make this three minute Christmas centerpiece.  All you need to make the centerpiece is 2 Mason jars, Confetti ribbon in your choice of Christmas color,  two large Christmas ornaments and a candle. To make a simple, informal arrangement, I added the confetti ribbon to a quart sized mason jar and placed the Christmas ornament on top of it. I made an identical mason jar and placed both of them on the table. I placed a white LED candle light between them and voila! Instant Christmas centerpiece.  I experimented with different candles for different looks.  To make the centerpiece more formal, I placed the mason jars and candle on a silver pedestal.

I was pleased with the results. Plus, it is easy enough kids could make them too.  Remember, with Shopular, deals from your favorite retailers are delivered directly to your phone, making it easy to get a bargain at stores where you actually shop.
