The Simply Southern Mom Ultimate Foodie Gift Guide

I received samples to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
Do you have hard to buy for friends and relatives? Me too! I spend way too much time asking family members, “What do you want for Christmas?” Their responses are less than encouraging. “I don’t know. Just get me whatever you’d like.” If you’re like me and still have a list of people to buy for, I’ve found some great products for foodies.

Cameron’s CoffeeThe mission behind Cameron’s Coffee is to “deliver the best cup of coffee in the world and have fun as they do it.”  Combining the newest technology with the finest beans in the world, they’ve developed amazing flavors like Chocolate Caramel Brownie and Highlander Grogg, as well as regular grinds.  The beans are roasted in small batches for premium flavor and packaged to keep out 99% of oxygen.  The coffee is available in filtered single serve sizes, ground and whole bean varieties.  If coffee is not your thing, they produce a special selection of premium teas.  Prices begin at $6.99 for 10-12 ounce ground.

Café Valet Signature Single-Serve Coffee System Starter PackThis is a wonderful idea for a frequent traveler, college student or apartment dweller. The compact size can easily fit in cramped spaces or in a suitcase, while still brewing a ten ounce cup of coffee into your favorite mug in  minutes. The system works with the Café Valet disposable brew basket and coffee filter packets, meaning there’s no mess to clean up after the coffee is brewed. Just toss and go!  The starter set comes with a 10 count variety pack of single serve coffee pods and is available for $25.00.

TSP™ (Totally Sweet Products): For the baker in your life, TSP is a new boutique line of bakeware tools and accessories, designed for fashion and functionality. Developed with inspiration from products used by professionals, these products are BPA free, dishwasher safe (my personal favorite) and in the case of their silicone spatulas, heat resistant to 440 degrees F.  There are a variety of tools including spatulas, disposable pastry bags, decorating nozzles, icing combs and more.  I plan to feature several holiday sweet recipes this month, so look for these products in use on my site! Best of all, TSP donates five percent of its proceeds to “Bake for Benny,” a fund dedicated to benefiting various animal charities and shelters. Prices of the product line range from $4.99 to $19.99.

They recommend grinding the coffee immediately before brewing and storing the coffee in an airtight container located in a cool place.  Dancing Moon Coffee also believes in giving back, donating  5% of all the  profits to the Semper Fi Fund benefiting injured Marines and their families.  A two pound package of coffee is available for $26. 01.

Full Moon Ultimate Bar-b-que Box We spent three years in Birmingham and one of our favorite places to eat was Full Moon Bar-b-que. Their Alabama White Sauce was to die for and I (plus the kids) consumed large quantities of it. I had pined after their food for years so imagine my delight when I discovered they shipped their ultimate Bar-b-que Box, featuring  Full Moon BBQ’s Southern Seasoning, Famous Chow-Chow, Award Winning Bar-B-Que Sauce & Alabama White Sauce.  I cannot wait to use these products in my kitchen as they are all family favorites.  If you are ever in the Birmingham or surrounding area, be sure to stop in their restaurant. If not, these bar-b-que boxes, at a cost of $30.99,  can be shipped across the country.

Endangered Species Chocolate: Who doesn’t love chocolate, especially when it is sourced from FairTrade beans in West Africa and supports a good cause?  Each variety of their chocolate comes with facts about an endangered species on the inside of the wrapper and 10% of net profits are donated to support conservation efforts.  Their products include chocolate bites, chocolate bars, filled chocolate bars and chocolate spreads. I’m a fan of the milk chocolate bar, with the cute otter included on the front, while Brittany picks up a package of the dark chocolate with sea salt and almonds whenever she gets a chance. The chocolate not only supports a great cause, it is non GMO certified, certified gluten free and certified vegan.
