Toddler Products That Will Make Your Life Easier

Toddlers come with a lot of baggage. No, not emotional baggage. Actual, physical, throw-your-back-out, why-am-I-carrying-this baggage. Some of it isn’t totally necessary, like Critter’s eight baby dolls and stuffed animals that she insists on carrying everywhere with us. But some of it is actually essential. While we received these products free in exchange for our honest opinions, we’re only sharing them because… well, we actually need them in our lives.

1.Adjustable Car Window Shade Roll Up (2 Pack) Critter is pale and has blue eyes. While I think she’s the prettiest baby to ever walk the face of the planet (what parent doesn’t think that?), blue eyes can mean big problems. Specifically, in the sun. While most kids I’ve met have hated having the sun in their eyes, Critter goes above and beyond. One of her quirks is screaming “MY EYES” whenever we encounter anything above ambient lighting. This can be a real bummer at best, and when you’re driving, it’s pretty distracting. That’s why we swear by Dream Baby’s Adjustable Windiw Shades. These are the best for keeping the sun out of Critter’s eyes, and therefore for keeping our car drama free.

2. Rapid Response Digital Thermometer hate seeing Critter sick. Unfortunately, my husband works at a hospital, so we’re sick a lot. Although we prevent as much as we can (hand-washing is practically our hobby), it’s inevitable that we’re going to get sick sometimes. But how do I tell if Critter is just having one of those days or if she’s actually sick? One way is checking for a fever. That’s where Dream Baby’s Rapid Response Thermometer comes in handy. It has a convenient case, so you know it’s not sitting on your cabinet that has juice all over it, getting sticky. Plus, it accurately tells your child’s temperature in only 8 seconds. It can be used under your arm, or for smaller kids, rectally.
Dreambaby Medicine Set

3. Medicine Set
Dreambaby Medicine Set Does your kid take medicine? Critter does, but not necessarily willingly. To make it easier on all of us, we use this medicine set from Dream Baby. With a syringe, dropper, and medicine spoon, it has just about everything you’ll need to get medicine into your kid instead of onto the floor. This is perfect for occasional medication, like fever reducer, or your child’s daily antihistamine.

4. Harrogate Bed Rail Critter is a terrible sleeper, but not in the way you think. Once she’s out, she sleeps for 12 hours stretches. It’s what she does in her sleep that gets her into trouble. At night, she’s practically an Olympic gymnast! That’s why one of our must-haves is this Harrogate Bed Rail from Dream Baby. After we moved Critter out of her crib and into a toddler bed, we realized that she wasn’t going to stop rolling around anytime soon. So the bed rail went on, and we felt much safer! This rail can be adjusted from single bed to queen size, so if Critter continues her sleep acrobatics as she ages, we have her covered.

  2. The bed rail looks like a real must have for parents with little ones. I wish we had that when the kids were still little. We had to make do with lots of throw pillows to catch their fall. I will have to show this to my friend. She’s got a four year old who tosses around his bed at night.

  15. The thermometer is absolutely an essential and a fast one is key to getting an accurate read on a wiggly kiddo. My other favourite item was a travel blackout blind – it was amazing for visiting other people’s houses and clothespins to keep hotel room curtains closed.
