I have an embarrassing secret I usually do not talk about. While pregnant with my second child, I developed kidney problems. I’m talking the fun stuff– continuous infections, meds to prevent total kidney failure, the works. Since that time, I’ve had problems. Whenever we plan trips now, I spend a lot of time planning trips around which rest areas we should stop at along the way. Ok, maybe the trip planning is not quite that bad, but almost. I even have a humorous story about traveling and bathrooms. Once when my oldest was in elementary school, I was taking the kids on a day trip. My daughter’s BFF is so much a part of the family she is called “my spare daughter.” On this trip, she was tagging along as usual, when I had to stop to get gas. Taylor popped up from the backseat and asked, “Why are we stopping, Miss Pam?” This was immediately followed by, “Oh, bathroom break.” I didn’t have the heart to tell her we were only getting gas.
Needless to say, I’ve seen my share of bathrooms around the South and I have a pet peeve. No toilet paper in the restrooms. Yuck! It’s even worse when you have a small child with you who has to “do their business” when you discover there is no toilet paper. That’s why I now have a secret companion that follows me everywhere– Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths on-the-go packs. I can stash these discreetly in my purse and whip them out whenever they are needed. Such a great product to have in your bag and travel with. Many places dont have so better to carry your own.
I am right there with you, I carry a secret stash, as well.. not only the wipes, but Hubby keeps a roll or two of TP in his luggage because he doesn’t like ‘off-brand’ LOL

I was just in a public restroom the other day, where one stall had no lock on the door, and the other stall had NO toilet paper. I had to carry toilet paper from the stall without a lock on it, to the stall that had no toilet paper. Luckily I had noticed there was no toilet paper in there before I sat down and did my business. Those flushable wipes sure would come in handy at a time like that!

Oh I absolutely HATE when you sit down to go to the bathroom only to realize there is no toilet paper in sight! I never really thought to carry anything with me but I’m going to have to start doing that!
I always bring Cottonelle wipes with me for my boys when we travel. They are a real lifesaver!
We do the same thing. I hate the toilet paper in hotels and resorts. We always pack our own. I started using wipes on myself shortly after my oldest was born. Makes a world of difference.
