Wet Ones + Six Flags, Atlanta= Family Fun

I received free admission to Six Flags, attended an informational and complimentary luncheon, and received a gift bag and promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

My kids had been wheedling for a visit to Six Flags over Georgia. They needed this trip. Think of the fun family memories we could create, the excitement, the adventure! They pleaded. When I was invited to attend the Wet Ones Mom Central Event at Six Flags, they were adamant. We needed to go. Originally, I had planned to take two kids, but everyone wanted to go, including Bryan, and it turned into an adventure for the entire family.

Travel Tip: Tickets and Parking passes can be purchased online, saving valuable time at the gates.

When we arrived, I was unsure where the group was meeting so I stopped someone carrying a Wet Ones bag to ask directions. It turned out to be Stacy DeBroff, president of Mom Central, a lovely lady who, unfortunately for her, had never encountered Georgia humidity during the summer.

Travel Tip: Purchase a refillable cup for $14.99 and get free refills for the entire day of purchase. Believe me, we drank a lot in the heat!

Once we met up with the group, all of the kids met some familiar faces, Tweety, Taz and Sylvester, and had photo opps. The ten year old adamantly stated he wanted to wait until he could have his picture made with Bugs Bunny! After learning some fun facts about the park, built in Atlanta in 1967, from the Director, we headed to the train to take a quick ride around the park.

Our Six Flags blogger group. I was super excited to meet new friends and see Roxanne from Children Teaching Mama again.

By the time the kids were allowed to pick a cape of their favorite character on the way to ride through the Monster Mansion, the ten year was ecstatic. He grabbed a Super Man cape and modeled it for me.

The kids got a break when we arrived at Bugs Bunny World, a playground designed for the younger set. The ten year old and I rode the Boat Ride while the older kids and Bryan went to find a place to sit down. We followed up with a group lunch at the Carrot Top Café where the ten year old was able to meet Bugs ‘up close and personal.’ After lunch the kids ventured off to experience the thrill of roller coasters and high excitement rides, while Bryan and I decided to brave such rides as the Skylift, another round on the train and the Log Jamboree.

Travel Tip: Visit on a weekday for shorter lines. If you visit on the weekend, consider purchasing a Flash Pass, which significantly decreases the wait in line.

Being a bit of a germaphobe, and, of course, being a mom, I know kids are constantly getting into sticky situations. Let’s face it, 24 million people visit a Six Flags theme park each year and that means a lot of germs. We were constantly grabbing the rails on the rides, just like everyone else. Wet Ones has teamed up with Six Flags to promote their, “Grab a bite. Grab a wipe campaign.” We were able to find Wet Ones around the park to wash our hands before eating, when the kids ate something sticky, or whenever we made a mess.

  17. That is such a good partnership for the park. I know as a guest I would really appreciate the chance to grab a Wet Wipe during the day and especially before eating!

It’s cute to see how much fun your youngest had!

  18. I really do not travel much and have no kids but that does not mean I don’t get into situations where germs are abundant. Think subways in NYC, or even the local malls and stores, and of course eating at restaurants. Wet Ones are a very good item to carry with you no matter where you go! Your family looks like they had a fabulous time–and your son with Bugs Bunny– priceless.

  19. That looks like so much fun, how cool! I need to make it to Six Flags this year too!

Honestly, we keep Wet Ones in the car all the time! We’ve been on several road trips over the last couple of months and I’d be lost without them! So handy!

  20. too far to be there but looks like it’s a great place to bring kids..

that roller coaster looks a bit dangerous (I don’t really like them hehe) but I like the design 🙂

  21. I’ve never been to Six Flags, but there is one an hour away that we’ll have to check out. Amusement parks are great places to use Wet Ones! They are a life saver for my son.

  22. I miss Six Flags! We used to go to the one in Jersey at least once a year. Now I guess Atlanta would be the closest to us? A little too far just to pick up and go like we used to, but we will have to get there at some point. I want to give the coasters at Six Flags over Georgia a shot!

  23. This looks like so much fun! The picture of Bugs Bunny and your little one is so adorable!

  24. Looks like a lot of fun but in GA summer heat/humidity I can tell you it wasn’t ALL fun. LOL
My dh is from Southern GA and it can be unbearable. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us.
