Giving gifts is one of my favorite parts of the Christmas season. I love to see someone’s face light up when I give them a little something to show that I am thinking of them. I’m all about giving “cutesy” homemade gifts, like these simple Santa mason jar gifts. It looks like I spend time preparing it, but in reality, it can be made in around ten minutes and uses dollar store materials. That’s my kind of gift!
Simple Santa Mason Jar Gifts
You’ll only need a few items to make this gift. I used an 8-ounce mason jar, red and green seasonal candies, Christmas ribbon designed to look like Santa’s belt, and a Santa Christmas ornament. You can use any seasonal candy you like. I used M&M’s, but Skittles, Jelly Bellies, Sixlets, red and green wrapped Hershey’s Kisses, or any other favorite candy works well too. I found the Christmas ribbon and the Santa Christmas ornament at the dollar store. You’ll also need a hot glue gun.
Here’s How To Make It
1. Add red and green Christmas candy to the mason jar. Seal the jar.
2. Cut a length of ribbon wide enough to wrap around the jar. Hot glue the ribbon into place.
3. Hot glue the Santa ornament to the top of the lid.
Voila! It’s finished and ready to gift. This is a great gift to use as a party favor or if you are giving gift cards, a great way to make them more personal.
Printable Instructions
- 8-ounce mason jars
- holiday candies in red and green (Use your favorite candy)
- Santa’s belt ribbon
- Santa head ornaments
- Add red and green Christmas candy to the mason jar. Seal the jar.
- Cut a length of ribbon wide enough to wrap around the jar. Hot glue the ribbon into place.
- Hot glue the Santa ornament to the top of the lid.
You can use this for teacher’s gifts. It’s simple enough for tweens and teens to make on their own, but could also be made by younger children if they use a glue stick. Note: the ribbon and ornament will not stick onto the jar as well as if you are using a glue gun.
