Peanut Butter Cream Pie Variations
*For a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cream Pie use a chocolate cookie crust. Drizzle warmed hot fudge over each slice immediately before serving.
*For a Chunky Peanut Butter Cream Pie, replace the smooth peanut butter with chunky peanut butter and add an additional 1 cup of crushed peanuts.
Tips For Making The Pie
*Want a gluten-free version? Use a gluten-free graham cracker crust. You can make your own by using 1 sleeve of gluten-free graham crackers, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Break the graham crackers into small pieces and process in a food processor for 10 seconds. Add the butter and the sugar and process 5 more seconds. Spray a 9″ inch pie pan with nonstick cooking spray and press crumbs evenly across the bottom and up the sides of the pan.
*Allergic to peanut butter? Substitute the nut butter of your choice. Good substitutions are almond butter, cashew butter, or sunflower butter.
*This pie freezes well. To freeze the pie, wrap tightly in aluminum foil. Store in the freezer up to 3 months.
